Blue Christmas xxx

Another Winter Wonderland Challenge, this time it is "Blue Christmas". I decided that I would use my wonderful "Daisy" stamp I got free on the front of Creativity magazine.
You can't really tell from the photo (gosh I hate how the photos make my cards look!, if anyone has any suggestions on how to do them justice please let me know!), but I have coloured her hat in two different shades of pearl blue. I have also stamped snowflakes all over the design - I just love snow!, and put a tag on the corner wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! I finally finished it off with a blue ribbon.
Thanks for looking xxx

Let It Snow!!!!!

We are really loving Winter Wonderland Challenges. This week Clare and I have enjoyed making this weeks challenge which was "Let It Snow". We love the snow, and plan to play in it early next year! My card has a deep blue background with a large half glittered snowflake on it, you cant really see the glitter, but believe me it is there!

Clare decided to go for the snowman effect. She has emobssed "Let it Snow" in red on a gold background and placed it in the middle of a beautiful lilac snowflake. She has decorated the whole card with glitter dots, which once again the picture does not do it justice.

Really hope you enjoy our cards as much as we enjoy making them. Can't wait to see what next week holds. Take care until then.

The First Noel

This weeks challenge on Winter Wonderland was A Christmas Carol. I love Carols, but prefer the modern day ones - are they really Carols? I don't know, but they all remind me of the magical time of year called Christmas. My card is called "The First Noel". My husband really wanted me to incorporate a photo of Noel Edmunds on it - he thought that would be really funny - I didn't!!!. The Noel is printed on a snowflake background and then set onto pale lilac card and then a red card with gold outline. The backing paper says Merry Christmas all over it and provides a good setting. I wrote "The First" in gold pen on shrink plastic and then shrunk it (obviously) and angled it on a slant at the top of the N.
I really am enjoying the Winter Wonderland Challenges, and hope to have all my Christmas Cards wrapped up by the time I have finished - and in plenty of time for the festive time itself.
